Ingredients

  • 2 Ormo soft floury baps
  • 6 low fat pork sausages
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp mirin (or substitute with a splash of white wine + pinch of sugar)
  • ½ tsp grated ginger
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 tbsp Kewpie mayo
  • 2 pineapple rings
  • Sesame seeds
  • Fresh lime juice

Method:

1. Make the sauce and set aside: mix together soy sauce, honey, mirin and ginger.

2. Shred the cabbage and set aside.

3. Remove the skin from the sausages.

4. Form the sausage meat into 2 patties.

5. Pan-fry over medium heat for ~4–5 minutes per side until cooked through and nicely browned.

6. In the last 2 minutes, pour the sauce into the pan.

7. Let it bubble and thicken, turning the patties so they get glossy and coated.

8. In the same pan, cook pineapple slices for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly caramelized.

9. Slice your Ormo soft floury baps and toast in toaster.

10. Spread the Kewpie mayo on the bottom bun.

11. Add shredded cabbage, the teriyaki-glazed pork patty and the pineapple.

12. Sprinkle sesame seeds and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
